In 2024, the Enel at Colegio Don Orione program has made a significant impact on 450 students from 7th to 11th grade in the municipality of Quintero, marking its second year with a positive and transformative effect. Thanks to the joint efforts of teachers and students, the program has created a space where scientific learning has not only been enriched but has also empowered the youth to understand and analyze the world from a scientific perspective, with a focus on the energy industry.
In addition to technical experiences, the students participated in gender equity talks, which featured Claudia Escalera, Community Relations Manager at ENEL, as a female role model in the industry. This added a valuable dimension of inclusion and diversity to the program.
Furthermore, ENEL experiments like “Light, Camera, and Saving” and “Efficient Race” allowed students to explore the energy industry through practical experiments, discovering concepts like how a basic circuit works and the principles of the law of conservation of energy.
With a firm belief that scientific education is essential for development, the program continues to open new doors for future generations in Quintero. By offering experiences that combine technical knowledge with values such as equity and social commitment, it is forging a path toward a future where science and technology become engines of transformation, both personally and collectively.
The future of STEM education in Quintero is here to stay!
